Colorado High School Basketball - Ellicott ripped by St. Mary's
January 25, 2019: Colorado Springs, CO 80909 The St. Mary's Pirates basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Ellicott Thunderhawks to 24 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Colorado Springs Christian for a 3A Tri-Peaks contest on Saturday, January 26. St. Mary's will battle a Lions team coming off a 64-22 league win over Buena Vista (Buena Vista, CO). The Lions record now stands at 12-0.
The Thunderhawks (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Salida (Salida, CO). The Spartans enter the 3A Tri-Peaks contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Salida was routed by St. Mary's (Colorado Springs, CO), 57-24, in a league contest.
