Nebraska High School Basketball - Chase County over Sutherland

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) and the visiting Sutherland Sailors (Sutherland, NE), saw Chase County's basketball squad overcome Sutherland by a tally of 57-45.

With the victory, Chase County improves its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Cozad (Cozad, NE) to play the Haymakers in a C1 District 11 challenge on Tuesday, February 19. The Haymakers come into the challenge with a record of 18-5. Cozad won 53-45 in their recent league challenge against McCook (McCook, NE)

Next up, the Sailors play the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) in a C2 District 11 challenge, on Monday, February 18. Sutherland will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Plainsmen come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 58-37 non-league win over Creek Valley (Chappell, NE).
