February 12, 2019: Belmont, NC 28012

Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), 61-10 in a league bout.

With the win, Shelby upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Golden Lions host Chase (Forest City, NC) to play the Trojans in a Southwestern 2A bout on Friday, February 15. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 5-16. Chase lost 66-44 in their recent league bout against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a Southwestern 2A bout, on Friday, February 15. South Point will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 10-12 record after their 69-63 league win over East Rutherford (Forest City, NC).
