Florida High School Basketball - American Heritage crushes Westminster Academy
January 30, 2019: Plantation, FL 33325 American Heritage Patriots (Plantation, FL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Westminster Academy Lions (Fort Lauderdale, FL), 56-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, American Heritage upgrades its record to 14-8 on the season. The Patriots travel to Miami Country Day (Miami, FL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, February 1. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 20-1. Miami Country Day won 80-70 in their recent non-league bout against Oxbridge Academy (West Palm Beach, FL)
Next up, the Lions play the Pine Crest Panthers (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 31. Westminster Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 66-8 non-league win over Somerset Academy - Canyons (Boynton Beach, FL).
