The Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ) softball nipped the visiting Desert Ridge Jaguars (Mesa, AZ), 4-3 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Blue Devils (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Buena (Sierra Vista, AZ). The Colts go into the non-league bout with a 3-10 record. In their last bout, Buena was edged by Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ), 8-0, in a non-league bout.

The Jaguars now possess a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Red Mountain for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 16. Desert Ridge will confront a Mountain Lions squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 11-1.
