Power hitting by Julia Neufeld led Weston's offense. Neufeld rocked Kolbe with 3 hits, including 2 home runs and 5 RBI and 3 runs. Andi Icatar got the win for Weston. She struck out seven in the complete game.
In the top of the first, Kolbe grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Weston Trojans Varsity didn't relinquish the lead after scoring four runs in the second inning when it scored on a two-run double by Samantha Phillips and a two-run home run by Neufeld. Weston piled on five more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Neufeld singled, plating Taylor Krumwiede and Samantha Phillips to kick things off. Weston brought home one run in the fifth inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the fifth, Weston scored on an RBI single by Samantha Phillips, scoring Samantha Hurwitz.
