The Hawks now possess a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ocean Springs for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 3. Hancock will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 45-39 non-league win over Pine Grove (Ripley, MS). The Greyhounds record now stands at 10-6.
The Pirates (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Murphy (Mobile, AL). The Panthers come into the 7A Area 2 battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Murphy was toppled by Cullman (Cullman, AL), 50-43, in a non-league battle.
