High Plains Storm (Polk, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host St. Edward Beavers (St. Edward, NE), 58-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, High Plains upgrades its record to 1-5 on the season. The Storm travel to Palmyra (Palmyra, NE) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 27. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Palmyra won 34-31 in their recent non-league bout against Douglas County West (Valley, NE)

Next up, the Beavers clash with the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars (Niobrara, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 27. St. Edward will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 58-38 non-league win over Neligh-Oakdale (Neligh, NE).
