North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence fells Richmond

February 27, 2020: Rockingham, NC 28380

Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC), 62-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 21-7 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hough (Cornelius, NC) to meet the Huskies in a non-league match on Saturday, February 29. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 19-9. Hough won 63-54 in their recent non-league match against R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC)

With the defeat, Richmond moves to 20-9 on the year.
