January 17, 2019: Smithville, MS 38870 The Wheeler Eagles (Wheeler, MS) basketball felled the host Smithville Seminoles (Smithville, MS), 62-42 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (16-6) will now prepare for their test against Jumpertown (Booneville, MS). The Cardinals go into the 1A Region 1 test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Jumpertown was beaten by Biggersville (Corinth, MS), 72-48, in a league test.
The Seminoles now own a 7-13 record. They play next when they travel to Tupelo Christian Prep for a 1A Region 4 test on Tuesday, January 22. Smithville will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 82-56 league loss to Okolona (Okolona, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 9-11.
