Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) and the visiting Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ), saw Desert Edge's baseball squad knock off Independence by a count of 10-0.

Coming up next, the Scorpions play the Casa Grande Cougars (Casa Grande, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 5. Desert Edge will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 10-5 non-league loss to Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ).
