Game Summary
Foothill finished the Tri Valley Classic schedule unbeaten (4 – 0) with a last minute 1-0 victory over Nolan Catholic from Fort Worth Texas. This was the Falcons 4th game in 42 hours with a roster limited to 12 “healthy” field players due to injury. The Falcons needed a strong team effort to hold a good Nolan team down who came into the match unbeaten. The match started with Nolan creating more attack with the Falcons gaining momentum towards the late part of the first half. After a scoreless 1st half, Nolan again started out stronger and pressured the Falcons including a shot off the crossbar with 15 minutes left. From that point forward the Falcons found their groove and turned up the pressure on Nolan with multiple runs into the scoring zone and 2 great scoring chances. As the game moved into the last minute the Falcons had 1 last chance when a ball played into the box was finished from close range by Sarah Mirr. Exciting end to a successful tournament for the Falcons!!
