January 28, 2019: Savannah, MO 64485 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Savannah Savages (Savannah, MO) and the visiting Penney Hornets (Hamilton, MO), saw Savannah's basketball squad hold off Penney by a tally of 65-64.
With the victory, Savannah improves its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Savages travel to Bishop LeBlond (St. Joseph, MO) to play the Eagles in a Midland Empire challenge on Friday, February 1. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-16. Bishop LeBlond won 42-39 in their recent non-league challenge against East Buchanan (Gower, MO)
Next up, the Hornets play the Hogan Prep Charter Rams (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 29. Penney will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 67-50 non-league loss to Odessa (Odessa, MO).
