South Dakota High School Football - Groton thwarted by St. Thomas More
October 24, 2024: Groton, SD 57445 St. Thomas More Cavaliers (Rapid City, SD) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Groton Tigers (Groton, SD), 40-13 in a non-league battle.
With the win, St. Thomas More advances its record to 7-2 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD) to play the Titans in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 31. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 7-2. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton won 8-0 in their recent non-league battle against Wagner (Wagner, SD)
The Tigers now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Vermillion for a non-league battle on Friday, November 15. Groton will play a Tanagers team coming off a 43-6 league loss to West Central (Hartford, SD). The Tanagers record now stands at 3-6.
