In Saturday's non-league match, the host Highland Prep Honey Badgers basketball team scored a good 56-43 triumph over the Peoria Panthers.

In their next game, the Honey Badgers meet the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs (Scottsdale, AZ) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 5. Highland Prep will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record.

With the defeat, Peoria moves to 3-11 on the year. The Panthers travel to Westwood (Mesa, AZ) to meet the Warriors in a non-league match on Saturday, December 30. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 3-9. Westwood lost 52-27 in their recent non-league match against King's (Seattle, WA)
