Indiana High School Basketball - Southport crushes Mooresville
February 27, 2015: Indianapolis, IN 46227 Southport Cardinals (Indianapolis, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mooresville Pioneers (Mooresville, IN), 77-49 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Southport upgrades its record to 21-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Evansville Reitz (Evansville, IN) to encounter the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, February 28. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 23-0. Evansville Reitz won 105-55 in their recent league test against Evansville Bosse (Evansville, IN)
The Pioneers now own a 18-4 record. They play next when they host Brownsburg for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 3. Mooresville will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 42-36 non-league loss to Center Grove (Greenwood, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 18-6.
First Quarter
Southport started fast hitting on 7-11 fga including 4-4 from behind the arc. Mooresville hit on 4-10 fga including 2-7 from behind the arc.
