The Alcorn Central Bears basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Hickory Flat Rebels to 33 in the Bears non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Site for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Alcorn Central will battle a Royals team coming off a 68-50 non-league win over Booneville (Booneville, MS). The Royals record now stands at 11-1.

The Rebels (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against Ashland (Ashland, MS). The Blue Devils come into the 1A Region 2 contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Ashland was defeated by Ripley (Ripley, MS), 72-49, in a non-league contest.
