Portsmouth Clippers (Portsmouth, NH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Manchester Central Little Green (Manchester, NH), 33-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Portsmouth upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Clippers host Dover (Dover, NH) to clash with the Green Wave in a Division I bout on Friday, January 18. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Dover won 54-51 in their recent league bout against Nashua North (Nashua, NH)

Next up, the Little Green clash with the Exeter Blue Hawks (Exeter, NH) in a Division I bout, on Friday, January 18. Manchester Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Blue Hawks go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 71-39 league loss to Pinkerton (Derry, NH).
