North Carolina High School Basketball - East Duplin topped by Goldsboro
February 1, 2019: Beulaville, NC 28518 The Goldsboro Cougars basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the host East Duplin Panthers to 55 in the Cougars league victory on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clinton for a East Central 2A contest on Tuesday, February 5. Goldsboro will battle a Dark Horses team coming off a 57-49 league win over Midway (Dunn, NC). The Dark Horses record now stands at 10-10.
The Panthers (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC). The Stallions come into the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Southwest Onslow prevailed over Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC), 61-43, in a league contest.
