The Maxwell Wildcats basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Perkins County Plainsmen to 17 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wallace for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Maxwell will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 61-41 non-league loss to Brady (Brady, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-12.

The Plainsmen (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against Cambridge (Cambridge, NE). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Cambridge triumphed over Bertrand (Bertrand, NE), 47-45, in a league contest.
