Kansas High School Basketball - Hodgeman County holds off Macksville
February 2, 2019: Jetmore, KS 67854 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hodgeman County Longhorns (Jetmore, KS) and the visiting Macksville Mustangs (Macksville, KS), saw Hodgeman County's basketball squad hold off Macksville by a tally of 49-43.
With the victory, Hodgeman County improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Spearville (Spearville, KS) to confront the Lancers in a Southern Plains-Iroquois challenge on Tuesday, February 5. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Spearville lost 42-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Kinsley (Kinsley, KS)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Kinsley Coyotes (Kinsley, KS) in a Central Prairie challenge, on Tuesday, February 5. Macksville will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 64-29 league win over LaCrosse (LaCrosse, KS).
