Georgia High School Basketball - Statesboro knocked off by Dougherty
December 21, 2018: Statesboro, GA 30458 The Dougherty Trojans basketball team scored 75 points and held the host Statesboro Blue Devils to 60 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crisp County for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 22. Dougherty will meet a Cougars team coming off a 41-39 non-league win over Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-8.
The Blue Devils (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Westover (Albany, GA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Westover ran past Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA), 77-59, in a non-league contest.
Game Summary
Dougherty was victorious against Statesboro 75-60 on Friday with the help of Will Riggins, who scored 15 points.
