California High School Basketball - South sneaks past King/Drew
January 20, 2025: Torrance, CA 90505 The South Spartans (Torrance, CA) basketball edged the visiting King/Drew Golden Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), 49-44 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they travel to Wiseburn- Da Vinci for a Pioneer bout on Tuesday, January 21. South will play a Wolves team coming off a 51-33 non-league loss to Crossroads (Santa Monica, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 4-16.
With the loss, King/Drew falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host George Washington Prep (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Generals in a Coliseum bout on Wednesday, January 22. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 12-2. George Washington Prep won 67-44 in their recent non-league bout against Venice (Los Angeles, CA)
