Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ) and the host Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ), saw Sunrise Mountain's basketball squad wallop Valley Vista by a tally of 74-38.

With the victory, Sunrise Mountain improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Liberty (Peoria, AZ) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 21. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Liberty won 89-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Highland Prep (Surprise, AZ)

Next up, the Monsoon confront the Paradise Honors Panthers (Surprise, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, November 22. Valley Vista will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 70-44 non-league win over Maricopa (Maricopa, AZ).
