Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ), 48-41 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Apollo improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hawks host Casteel (Queen Creek, AZ) to battle the Colts in a non-league test on Friday, August 24. The Colts come into the test with a record of 0-1. Casteel lost 42-19 in their recent non-league test against Centennial (Peoria, AZ)

With the loss, Desert Mountain drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ) to battle the Firebirds in a non-league test on Friday, August 24. The Firebirds come into the test with a record of 1-0. Chaparral won 36-33 in their recent non-league test against Hamilton (Chandler, AZ)
