New Mexico High School Basketball - Espanola Valley nips Los Alamos
February 12, 2016: Espanola, NM 87532 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) and the visiting Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM), saw Espanola Valley's basketball squad hold off Los Alamos by a count of 53-50.
With the victory, Espanola Valley upgrades its record to 19-1 on the campaign. The Sundevils travel to Capital (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 17. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 9-14. Capital lost 53-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM) in a challenge, on Wednesday, February 17. Los Alamos will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
