In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings basketball team scored a close 65-59 win over the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions.

The Vikings (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hawken (Gates Mills, OH). The Hawks enter the non-league battle with a 13-7 record. In their last battle, Hawken tipped Orange (Pepper Pike, OH), 58-50, in a league battle.
