January 25, 2019: Big Springs, NE 69122 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bayard Tigers (Bayard, NE) and the host South Platte Blue Knights (Big Springs, NE), saw Bayard's basketball squad overcome South Platte by a tally of 61-41.
With the victory, Bayard improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Bridgeport (Bridgeport, NE) to confront the Bulldogs in a C2 District 12 challenge on Saturday, January 26. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 15-2. Bridgeport won 75-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Creek Valley (Chappell, NE)
Next up, the Blue Knights confront the Elba Bluejays (Elba, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 26. South Platte will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 0-15 record after their 81-4 non-league loss to Harvard (Harvard, NE).
