Mercy Monarchs (Omaha, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Schuyler Warriors (Schuyler, NE), 54-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mercy upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Wahoo (Wahoo, NE) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 8. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 11-0. Wahoo won 54-51 in their recent non-league bout against Crete (Crete, NE)

Next up, the Warriors play the West Point-Beemer Cadets (West Point, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 10. Schuyler will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
