Texas High School Basketball - McAllen tops La Joya
January 29, 2019: La Joya, TX 78560 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX) and the host La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX), saw McAllen's basketball squad knock off La Joya by a count of 53-35.
With the victory, McAllen upgrades its record to 17-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 6A Region IV District 30 challenge on Friday, February 1. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 10-19. McAllen Memorial lost 52-44 in their recent league challenge against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX)
Next up, the Coyotes play the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Friday, February 1. La Joya will attempt to upgrade on its 11-23 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 1-24 record after their 60-33 league loss to Mission (Mission, TX).
