The crowd at Friday's league game between the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) and the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), saw Marvin Ridge's lacrosse team top Sun Valley by a margin of 15-5.

The Mavericks (8-5) will now prepare for their game against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league game with a 12-2 record. In their last game, Lake Norman beat Christ the King (Huntersville, NC), 16-1, in a league game.
