The Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) football nudged the visiting A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC), 17-10 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Weddington will attempt to move on its 13-1 season record. The Whirlies enter the bout with a 14-0 record after their 40-37 non-league win over Hough (Cornelius, NC).
