California High School Basketball - Edison nips Castro Valley

January 26, 2019: Castro Valley, CA 94546

Edison Vikings (Stockton, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA), 47-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Edison upgrades its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Vikings host Bear Creek (Stockton, CA) to play the Bruins in a San Joaquin Athletic Association bout on Tuesday, January 29. The Bruins come into the bout with a record of 20-4. Bear Creek won 77-50 in their recent non-league bout against Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) in a West Alameda County - Foothill bout, on Wednesday, January 30. Castro Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 48-43 non-league win over Casa Grande (Petaluma, CA).
