January 10, 2019: Imperial, NE 69033

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) and the visiting Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), saw Chase County's basketball squad wallop Perkins County by a count of 62-27.

With the victory, Chase County upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE) to play the Swedes in a C1 District 11 challenge on Friday, January 11. The Swedes come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. Gothenburg lost 65-43 in their recent league challenge against Cozad (Cozad, NE)

Next up, the Plainsmen play the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos (Wauneta, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 11. Perkins County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 78-44 league win over Southwest (Bartley, NE).
