December 20, 2019: Wauneta, NE 69045 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Platte Blue Knights (Big Springs, NE) and the host Wauneta-Palisade Broncos (Wauneta, NE), saw South Platte's basketball squad overcome Wauneta-Palisade by a tally of 44-35.
With the victory, South Platte improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Blue Knights host Kimball (Kimball, NE) to confront the Longhorns in a D1 District 12 challenge on Tuesday, January 7. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Kimball won 51-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Bayard (Bayard, NE)
Next up, the Broncos confront the Hyannis Longhorns (Hyannis, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 21. Wauneta-Palisade will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 67-31 non-league loss to Crawford (Crawford, NE).
