In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Connersville Spartans basketball team scored a good 63-55 triumph over the New Castle Trojans.

In their next game, the Spartans meet the Southport Cardinals (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 12. Connersville will attempt to better on its 21-5 season record. The Cardinals enter the match with a 20-6 record after their 63-52 non-league win over Ben Davis (Indianapolis, IN).

With the defeat, New Castle moves to 17-8 on the year.
