In Tuesday's league match, the host Ashley Screaming Eagle basketball team scored a good 66-55 triumph over the Topsail Pirates.

In their next game, the Screaming Eagle meet the E.A. Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A game, on Thursday, February 8. Ashley will attempt to move on its 8-15 season record.
