In Friday's non-league test, the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC), by a tally of 13-5.

Next, the Mavericks clash with the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A test, on Tuesday, March 18. Marvin Ridge will attempt to advance on its 7-0 season record. The Pirates go into the test with a 3-4 record after their 16-0 non-league win over Palisades (Charlotte, NC).

The Wolf Pack (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers go into the Rocky River 2A/3A test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Piedmont was routed by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 6-3, in a non-league test.
