New York High School Football - Canisius topples McQuaid Jesuit
September 1, 2012: Buffalo, NY 14209 The Canisius Crusaders (Buffalo, NY) football defeated the visiting McQuaid Jesuit Knights (Rochester, NY), 36-17 in Saturday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Crusaders face the St. Mary's Lancers (Lancaster, NY) in a Monsignor Martin bout, on Saturday, September 8. Canisius will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Lancers enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 16-14 non-league win over Franklin/Jefferson (Rochester, NY).
The Knights (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Marshall/Charlotte (Rochester, NY). The Jurists enter the Section 5 City-Catholic bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Marshall/Charlotte was toppled by Penfield (Penfield, NY), 21-10, in a non-league bout.
