The Chase Trojans basketball team (Forest City, NC), was toppled 77-59 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC)

The Panthers now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hibriten for a Northwestern Foothills 2A battle on Friday, January 11. Patton will confront a Panthers team coming off a 55-42 non-league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 8-1.

The Trojans (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors come into the Southwestern 2A battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, East Gaston was toppled by North Gaston (Dallas, NC), 69-55, in a non-league battle.
