The McDowell Trojans basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Erie Royals to 53 in the Trojans league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine-Richland for a non-league contest on Friday, February 8. McDowell will battle a Rams team coming off a 79-56 league win over Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA). The Rams record now stands at 18-2.

The Royals (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA). The Golden Rams enter the non-league contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Highlands was nudged by Nazareth Prep (Pittsburgh, PA), 58-52, in a non-league contest.
