Maryland High School Basketball - River Hill tipped by Atholton
January 18, 2019: Clarksville, MD 21029 In Friday's league match, the visiting Atholton Raiders basketball team scored a tight 52-46 triumph over the River Hill Hawks.
In their next game, the Raiders meet the Arundel Wildcats (Gambrills, MD) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 28. Atholton will attempt to better on its 11-2 season record.
With the defeat, River Hill moves to 7-8 on the year. The Hawks travel to Reservoir (Fulton, MD) to meet the 'Gators in a Howard County match on Wednesday, January 30. The 'Gators enter the match with a record of 9-2.
Game Summary
The Raiders started out slowly missing all 9 of their three point attempts in the first half, but rallied to tie the score at the half at 17-17 behind 10 second quarter points by Casey Parkins.
They stayed pretty much even in the third quarter and then took over scoirng 23 points inthe 4th quarter.
Albert Jackson led the Raiders with 15 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Casey Parkins scored 23 points including 3 3-pointers in the second half.
