The Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) football routed the visiting Neville Tigers (Monroe, LA), 41-7 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bearcats face the Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 7. Ruston will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Rams enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 27-20 non-league win over Kaplan (Kaplan, LA).

The Tigers (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS). The Vikings enter the non-league bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Warren Central walloped Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS), 35-6, in a non-league bout.
