April 17, 2014: Kincaid, IL The South Fork/Edinburg Wildcats the visiting Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm baseball team by a tally of 7-4 in Thursday's league bout.
The Wildcats now hold a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Auburn for a non-league bout on Friday, April 18. South Fork/Edinburg will face a Trojans team coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 10-0.
Next, the Storm face the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 25. Sangamon Valley/Tri-City will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record.
Game Summary
After the 12 inning win game the Wildcats came out in the second game looking a little sharper and got a much needed strong pitching performance from Alek Harris.
