The Briarcrest Christian Saints (Eads, TN) football edged the visiting Montgomery Bell Academy Big Red (Nashville, TN), 24-21 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Saints face the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles (Cordova, TN) in a Division II-AAA West bout, on Friday, September 20. Briarcrest Christian will attempt to advance on its 4-0 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 46-22 non-league win over Bolton (Arlington, TN).

The Big Red (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Memphis University (Memphis, TN). The Owls enter the Division II-AAA West bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, Memphis University nudged Melrose (Memphis, TN), 50-6, in a non-league bout.
