January 25, 2019: Covington, TX 76636 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Covington Owls (Covington, TX) and the visiting Kopperl Eagles (Kopperl, TX), saw Covington's basketball squad overcome Kopperl by a tally of 58-44.
With the victory, Covington improves its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Aquilla (Aquilla, TX) to confront the Cougars in a 1A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, January 29. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Aquilla won 42-40 in their recent league challenge against Walnut Springs (Walnut Springs, TX)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Blum Bobcats (Blum, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 25 challenge, on Tuesday, January 29. Kopperl will attempt to improve on its 0-28 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 45-35 league loss to Gholson (Waco, TX).
