December 6, 2024: Athens, TX 75751 In Friday's non-league contest, the host Athens Hornets basketball team scored a close 51-48 triumph over the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians.
The Hornets (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Highland Park (Dallas, TX). The Scots go into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Highland Park nipped Dallas Jesuit (Dallas, TX), 52-40, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Fightin' Indians battle the Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 contest, on Tuesday, December 10.
