Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS), 57-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Walnut upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 4. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Pontotoc won 58-53 in their recent non-league bout against Tupelo (Tupelo, MS)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 4. West Union will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Urchins go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 53-42 non-league loss to Ingomar (New Albany, MS).
