Vermont High School Basketball - Burlington thwarts Colchester
January 2, 2025: Colchester, VT 05446 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Burlington Seahorses (Burlington, VT) and the host Colchester Lakers (Colchester, VT), observed Burlington's basketball team knock off Colchester by a score of 58-40.
The Seahorses (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT). The Redhawks come into the Metro challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Champlain Valley Union prevailed over Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY), 63-23, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lakers encounter the Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Colchester will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 66-32 league win over Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT).
