Nebraska High School Basketball - Southern holds off Sterling
January 29, 2019: Wymore, NE 68466 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southern Raiders (Wymore, NE) and the visiting Sterling Jets (Sterling, NE), saw Southern's basketball squad hold off Sterling by a tally of 42-40.
With the victory, Southern improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Sacred Heart (Falls City, NE) to confront the Irish in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 31. The Irish come into the challenge with a record of 16-1.
Next up, the Jets confront the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans (Humboldt, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 1. Sterling will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 52-42 non-league loss to Tri County (DeWitt, NE).
